Folk Art / Girard

Multiple Visions: A Common Bond at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The permanent installation includes over 10,000 objects, which were donated by Alexander Girard. The collection in total has over 100,000 items and represents more than 100 countries.
The exhibition was designed by Alexander Girard and opened in 1982.

This is a good time to pause and just say that the exhibition design by Girard is incredible. It really brings the collection to life.

The Girard family used this tree in their home. Here it is on top of a custom Girard table in their Grosse Pointe house, 1944.
